Offstring Whip Catch
Offstring. The yoyo is NOT tied to the string. You throw it in the air and catch it on the string, kind of like a diabolo.
How to do it
- Toss the yoyo up.
- Swing a loop of string around it.
- Let the loop fall into the gap.
- Pull tight.
Tips
The loop has to be bigger than the yoyo and lined up with the gap.
The physics
A floppy loop gets caught by the spinning yoyo, then string tightness locks it in.
