The Matrix
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Start in Double or Nothing.
- Roll the yoyo through the strings toward your throw hand.
- Let it go over and under the right strings.
- Keep rolling until it comes out into a trapeze or similar mount.
- Dismount.
Tips
Learn the path slow. Keep your finger wraps in the right order.
The physics
You're un-wrapping all those strings in a controlled way. The yoyo keeps spinning, but every string it touches steals a little spin.
