Skin the Gerbil
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Start in trapeze.
- Roll the yoyo inward over your other hand.
- Keep rolling through trapeze, undermount, and similar mounts.
- Keep your hands open and the strings separate.
- End back at trapeze or bind.
Tips
It's a flow trick. The yoyo should never stop moving between rolls.
The physics
Each roll keeps the yoyo's motion going. The yoyo follows curved paths from one mount to the next.
