McBride Roller Coaster
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Start from a trapeze-like mount.
- Roll the yoyo through a repeating pattern of over-and-under paths.
- Each roll feeds into the next one.
- Keep a steady, circular rhythm.
- Dismount when it ends in an open mount.
Tips
Don't pause between rolls. Treat it as one long path.
The physics
Once the yoyo gets going, its motion just keeps it rolling through one shape after another.
