Laceration
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Throw a breakaway.
- Let the yoyo swing across.
- Whip the slack string around the yoyo instead of landing normally.
- Catch right into trapeze or a similar mount.
- Stabilize.
Tips
The yoyo and the slack loop need to meet up at the same time. Practice slow with a big circle.
The physics
It's a swing and a whip happening together. The string catches the yoyo mid-swing.
