Jade Whip
Single-handed string tricks. One yoyo, usually one that does NOT come back on a tug. You land it on strings and move it through different shapes. This is the biggest modern style.
How to do it
- Be in a mount where you have some slack to work with.
- Pinch the right string.
- Swing the slack loop over and around the yoyo.
- Drop the loop into the gap.
- Land into a bucket-style mount.
Tips
Pinching the right string is super important. The wrong string sends the slack the wrong way.
The physics
The slack loop swings in a curve while your pinch holds the rest of the string still.
