Around the World

Basic / Responsive. The starter style. You use a yoyo that comes back when you tug the string.

How to do it

  1. Throw a strong forward pass.
  2. Don't tug yet — let the yoyo keep going in a big circle.
  3. Keep your arm out.
  4. Tug as it comes back up over the top.
  5. Catch it.

Tips

Make sure the circle stays straight up and down. Don't let it tilt toward you.

The physics

The yoyo goes in a circle around your hand. The tight string is what pulls it inward and keeps it from flying off.
